All displayed times on this site are America/New_York; ISO fields in that response carry an explicit zone. ## Proprietary concepts - **Vela Crash Risk Index**: a 0-100 composite of systemic stress across ten categories - credit spreads, volatility, financial conditions, Treasuries, equity conditions, market breadth, labour, banking, inflation and the dollar. Bands are Green 0-34, Yellow 35-54, Orange 55-74, Red 75-100. Every input is scored by percentile against its own history rather than a fixed threshold, and components are combined non-linearly so that broad simultaneous deterioration moves the number far harder than one category alone. Recomputed daily, published weekly on Sunday evening US Eastern. The same number is published in Spanish as the Semaforo de Riesgo at https://velafinanciero.ai. The index publishes conditional base rates, never forecast probabilities. - **Vela Pulse Score**: a 0-100 composite of market health combining equity, volatility, currency, rates, crypto and DeFi signals.
